Hildevig Svaizer is Senior Manager Green Batteries at Northvolt, a Swedish battery manufacturer. Northvolt’s mission is to build the greenest battery in the world with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling to enable the European transition to renewable energy. In this position, she is responsible for setting the strategy and actively work with supply chain and the suppliers to ensure that the ingoing raw materials, materials and components is in line with the Northvolt ESG standards and contributes to the very ambitious carbon footprint targets. Hildevig joined Northvolt in 2008 as one of the very early employees of the fast-growing company and until recently, she held the position of Director Raw Materials, responsible for the sourcing of materials such as lithium, cobalt and nickel. She has also previously held the position as Director Purchasing Cell Materials where she was responsible for the sourcing of the downstream materials and components.

Before joining Northvolt, Hildevig has close to 15 years of experience in various purchasing roles in multinational organizations such as General Electric and Procter & Gamble.

Hildevig holds a Master of International Management from HEC, Université de Lausanne in Switzerland (2005) and a Master of Science in Business and Economics from Uppsala University, Sweden (2003).
