Mathias Schluep is the managing director of the World Resources Forum Association, an international non-profit organisation mobilising concerted action to promote sustainability and fairness in the global use of natural resources. His broad work portfolio covers the areas of responsible mining, circularity and secondary resources. Mathias has been working in the area of sustainable e-waste management with the global south since almost two decades. Before joining the WRF in 2014, he has worked in the academic field, as well as in environmental and business consultancy.
Mathias has an academic background in Environmental Engineering, with a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH).
