Matthéüs van de Pol is an environmental economist, who has been working in the field of sustainability and resource security for over 15 years. He is currently programme leader circular manufacturing industry and senior policymaker at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate. He is also involved in the implementation of the Dutch resource strategy.

Previous working experience involved the field of Green Growth, bio-based economy and Corporate Social Responsibility. The latter includes contributing to the G4 guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative and project leadership of the Dutch Transparency benchmark for the Top 500 companies.
